From Sunshine Yellow to Crisp White – Portmarnock Home

Project Overview

In 2024, we gave a Portmarnock home a complete external insulation makeover, replacing its dated yellow façade with a clean, bright white render. The goal was twofold—boost the home’s thermal performance and give it a timeless, modern look. We guided the homeowner through the SEAI grant process, helping them claim up to €8,000 towards the project cost, making the upgrade as affordable as it was transformative.

The original yellow render, while cheerful, had begun to fade and weather unevenly in the coastal environment. The property also had no modern insulation, making it costly to heat during winter.

We prepared the surface for a full external insulation system, ensuring strong adhesion and long-lasting protection. Using a premium white KABE render, we delivered a finish that’s both stylish and highly durable against coastal conditions. Our SEAI registration meant we could handle the grant paperwork from start to finish, ensuring the homeowner enjoyed a warmer, more energy-efficient home—without the stress of navigating the funding process themselves.
